There is no easy way to get your kids to eat better. There are those kids that hate vegetables, they are picky eaters, some hate how foods look, and there are even more reasons why kids refuse to eat well. While it is definitively a struggle for parents to feed their children, it is not an impossible task.

1. Introduce new foods slowly

Some parents want to introduce their children to new food all at once, and this is one of the worst things that you can do. Kids are very picky eaters and they are going to refus everything that you put in front of them. For that same reason, introducing them to new foods should be a slow process. Mix new foods with some that they are comfortable with, and even without them noticing, or even add dressings to the food in order to disguise new flavors. Don’t make a big deal about new foods

2. Get kids cooking

Involve your kids in the cooking process. Not only does this make it easier for your kids to know what ingredients go into the food, but the fact that they’re playing with it and getting him ball for the cooking process makes them more open-minded when it comes to actually eating the food.

3. Cut back on junk

Definitely cut back on the junk. You are in charge of the food in the house, and therefore you get to decide what you give your kids. In order to get your kids to eat better avoid buying junk food all together, and even giving it to them whenever they ask for it. If they’re hungry, get a healthy snack for them, get them to understand that junk food is bad for them and why they should be eating healthier snacks.

4. Be Creative In Your Meals

Another aspect of kids eating better, is when their food looks good, they regularly are more likely to eat off the plate. If you are adding vegetables or fruits that are more healthy, make sure that you are creative and you ask them in a fun way so that visually the place looks more appealing to them.

5.Be a Role Model

Be a role model, definitely you need to set the bar high and be the example for what your kids should be eating. If they see you constantly eating snacks and junk food, they’re going to expect you to share, and they won’t see anything wrong with them eating it as well. Nevertheless, if they see that their parents are eating healthy, they know that they need to look up to them and do the same.
